Ralph Rapson Traveling Fellowship 1989 - A Jewish Cemetery

Project type

Competition - Religious/ Memorial

Date

1989

Location

Minneapolis, MN

This cemetery and it's supporting structures are shared between an Orthodox Jewish Congregation and its non-Orthodox Counterpart. Two sets of structures are laid out along an imaginative boundary where opposite physical gestures are reflecting and complimenting each others.

This competition entry won the 1989 Ralph Rapson Traveling Fellowship offered by the Minnesota Chapter of the American Institute of Architecture.
